Following on my previous post, I know that a number of y'all don't listen to the radio.

What could radio stations do differently that might get you to listen?

I'm tempted to be a smart-ass and say 'buy me a car', because I only really listen to radio qua radio in the car, and I no longer have one. I don't have a radio in the house. I do listen to some NPR shows online, though.

I feel like a jerk for not having helpful comments, since I know that people like me contribute to you not having more better-valued and more secure work.

For years, I made a point of not listening to commercial radio, just the CBC. I've listened to the CBC while driving since about 1982, and on weekends we also listened in the house. I know that I have a decent radio receiver in my living room, but I almost never use it as such.

Since I haven't owned a car for four years - oh, I see Serene got this point too - I don't listen, much. However, since going to a rock concert sponsored by a certain station last summer, I'm more likely to try listening to that station in a rental car now than I am the CBC. I like the music. I don't like the silly contests or the banter of the presenters.
