necturusThe more I have to listen to Fred Thompson, Mike Huckabee, etc. as part of my work, the more I start thinking about my Red Radio idea. A station like WILD (1090 AM), WNTN (1550 AM) or WJIB (740 AM) would be ideal; these are daytime-only stations with urban (or inner suburban) transmitter sites that cover the market pretty well yet are unlikely to command much value in the eyes of commercial broadcasters. It's a pity none of them is for sale.
There's a station in the Dover, NH market that is off the air and could be had for a song, but that market is too small (and seems to be solidly Republican to boot). Red Radio is only going to make noise if it's done in a major market like Boston.
