There's a lot of stuff down there, and the bottom two shelves of one of the bookcases collapsed yesterday morning.
The water in the back yard is now up against the house, and there's about 6 inches in the basement. I have a small pump running, which seems to be enough to stop it from getting any deeper, but I hope it stops raining soon.
We've had at least 10 inches in the last three days.
That's dreadful! We had flooding downstairs last May, but because of the shape of our block, it was "only" running through. So we had to take everything off the carpet, get the carpet dried, throw out some stuff that got flooded - 6 inches, I can't even imagine!
