Not without dinner and a movie
Jan. 29th, 2013 11:46 amI've been hearing more and more robot voices in my travels lately, and they often say things that are not quite right. The one that announces trains at South Station says "staw-ton" for Stoughton and "hale-fax" for Halifax, along with "thank you for riding the commuter ale". On the Green Line during a recent service disruption, I heard one telling passengers bound for "Leck-mere" to use the Orange Line between Park Street/Downtown Crossing and North Station.
But the new automated system at the Alewife garage, which I encountered last night, takes the cake. On my way out, when I stopped at the fare gate, a female voice asked me to "please insert your dicket".
