Ash nazg durbatuluk, ash nazg gimbatul
May. 27th, 2013 02:45 pmDuring the course of a housecleaning this weekend I found a bunch of foreign coins. Some of them have strange inscriptions around their edges:
"PLEIDIOL WYF I'M GWLAD" on a British one-pound coin;
"DEGUS ET TUTAMEN" on another British one-pound coin;
"GOD ZIJ MET ONS" on a Dutch coin denominated "2 1/2 G".
Of course, here in the United States we have "ANNUIT COEPTIS" and "NOVUS ORDO SECLORUM" on our dollar bills, accompanied by a bizarre Masonic symbol reminiscent of the Eye of Sauron.
I know where the British coins came from. but have no idea how I came by the Dutch one; I've never been to the Netherlands.
