Summer evenings

necturusI just took the Beautiful Dog out and let him decide where to go. To my surprise he decided to go down the hill and all the way to the end of West Street. The frogs in the swamp are silent; they're done singing for this year, although they'll still be out for a few weeks yet.
This afternoon found me on the roof of One Financial Center, a tall building across the street from South Station in Boston, with another technical person and a tower rigger. The radio station has just been given permission to upgrade its signal slightly, extending its coverage several miles to the northeast.
The view from the top of OFC is spectacular; there was too much haze to get any good pictures, though.
Summer is much too short.
