Who was that guy in the next room?

It was the governor of New Hampshire being interviewed by the news director at WTSN.

Full-service local radio is supposed to be dead, but not in Dover, New Hampshire. However, it's heavily automated. There are four processing running on computers twenty-four hours a day; they pick up at least twenty different features from different networks and pre-record them to be played back later in the day. I've only been able to find one of these computers so far.

The station has a real news department, a function most Boston stations have long ago outsourced. It airs two hour-long newscasts a day, plus a locally produced talk show; it also has a sports department and airs various high school games. These guys exemplify what radio should be.
