Skunk redux

necturusThe skunk was back in the window well at WUMB again-- and according to two of my colleagues, there are two of them.
Someone left an inclined plank in the window well as a pathway to freedom for the skunk(s). I don't plan to be back at WUMB until next Wednesday, as Monday is observed by the Commonwealth (which owns WUMB) as the July 4 holiday, so I won't get to see the next few chapters of the skunk story.
Today was somewhat frustrating as an ancient computer that had been displaying song titles and artists on RBDS-equipped radios died earlier in the week, and my efforts today to put a new (solid-state!) drive in it, reload Linux and my custom scripts, and reinstall it at the transmitter site ended in my running out of day. I brought the thing home, finished my work on it here, and will take it to Quincy tomorrow.
As I was typing the above words, a miniature pinscher named Loki ran into the room, sniffed at my cast-off pants, and ran out again.
So ran my fifty-third birthday, from skunk to dog.
