They've changed!

Tonight after upgrading the memory on my old desktop computer and loading a new OS, I decided to look up Radio VBC, which was my favorite Internet radio station a few years ago.

They've changed their formerly very broad international music format to mostly English-language rock with the slogan "radio for men; no woman, no cry." They're now playing a song about Perry Mason. Who in Vladivostok has ever heard of Perry Mason?

All electric guitars, all the time.

Here's something in Russian. How about that?

Evolutionary dead-end

Last weekend my father gave me a book that once belonged to his great-grandfather. It's signed by my father and grandfather, with the notations "this book belonged to my father" and "and mine". I have it now, but there are none to come after me, so I haven't bothered to sign it.

Oh, and the title of the book? The Origin of Species, by Charles Darwin, M.A., LL.D, F.R.S.

Uh-oh

They just played a commercial for a company selling "steel doors and strong locks".

There must be a lot of crime in Vladivostok.
