Wishful thinking
Mar. 6th, 2012 09:26 pmI'd like to see Clear Channel jettison Rush Limbaugh.
I'd like to see his network affiliates, increasingly deserted by their advertisers, dropping him by the dozens.
I'd like to see him permanently off the air.
Unfortunately, this is radio, and it's more likely the firestorm surrounding his personal attack on Ms. Fluke will only boost his ratings among the misogynistic dupes that are his target audience. Even if he loses some sponsors, the siren call of high ratings will eventually lure them back, and the asshole will be a bigger blot on the public airwaves than ever.
All I can say is that I am very happy no client of mine runs his show.
