It's painfully evident that Western military intervention in the Libyan civil war will not be decisive. The rebels do not have a real army, and cannot hope to take Sirte or Tripoli.

It's not clear why we're involved in this. Qadhdhafi is doing nothing Abraham Lincoln didn't do.

Barack Obama is looking more and more like yet another reckless squanderer of wealth and lives. He was elected to end the wars, fix the economy, and check the growing disparity of wealth in this country. He has done none of these things, and is on course to be remembered as the President whose ill-thought policies and poor decisions empowered the "tea party" reactionaries and their corporate sponsors.
