Hope Valley at night
Oct. 12th, 2010 08:57 pmThe station goes off the air at sunset. It's pitch black out, and the sky is studded with stars.
Coyotes are howling in the woods, and I can hear something that might be an owl.
I'm waiting for the Nautel tech to call me back; the main transmitter has some problem with its exciter that made it die this morning. They ran the backup all day while I was dealing with a variety of unexpected surprises in New Hampshire, after which I drove two and a half hours to get down here.
I hope he calls soon, because it's chilly in here, and I need to get up at 5 tomorrow morning to go to another client.
Ah, there he is.
