Praise the LORD!

There are not less than four Bible-thumpers on the 49-meter shortwave band this morning, most of them pontificating away in strong southern drawls. There ought to be an atheist alternative, methinks.

I found what I though was Radio Australia on 6040 KHz, but it is in fact Beijing. They are not the Radio Beijing of my youth, which used to rant against Lin Piao, Confucius, and American imperialism. No, today they interview antiques dealers and talk about feng shui.
