I got home early today and decided to turn on the shortwave set and see what things are like in the daytime. On 15205 KHz I heard a beautifully sung Adhan, followed by a long sermon read in a monotone -- I could understand very little of it, but it had something to do with fasting and Ramadan and was peppered with ritual formulae such as "salla Allahu `alayhi wa sallam" ("may God bless him and grant him peace") and "radiya Allahu `anhu" ("may God be pleased with him"). The station identified itself as Radio Holy Qur'an from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. It had a very strong signal.
