Last night
My former college roommate invited me to come watch football with him. I don't usually pay attention to the Super Bowl, but this game was surprisingly good. Seattle should have won it, but they made a mistake at the worst possible time, and so the game ended like many a Harvard-Yale game, where the team that makes the fewest mistakes comes out on top.
The commercials did not impress me. The car commercial with the Harry Chapin song, "Cats in the Cradle", struck me as profoundly wrong; does Nissan not remember that he died in a car wreck? And who was the target audience? Surely no one much under 60 remembers that song.
I suppose I'll go out and shovel some more snow.
