I never thought I'd ever hear that sung at church. It was done as a solo by our bass section leader, apparently in commemoration of Martin Luther King Day. However, the "battle" it refers to is described in the Bible as a genocide, only Rahab the prostitute and her family being spared out of all the men, women, and children in the city.

I guess I need not feel guilty about humming "Cossacks in Berlin" the other day as I walked into the church for choir practice the other day.
